Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 3DPP00B - A bold piece of Liverpool football graffiti stretches across a worn brick wall, dominated by the famous words You Will Never Walk Alone, with an added line reading Good will never walk alone. The lettering is painted in strong reds with an orange fill behind it, giving a flame-like warmth against the pale, weathered bricks. Around the main message, smaller tags and scrawled phrases overlap the artwork, showing how public walls in busy cities become layered, contested canvases rather than finished murals. The chipped paint, uneven spray coverage and rough mortar lines add texture and grit, making this a natural editorial image of street culture rather than a polished piece of public art.
Photographed in flat daylight under likely overcast skies, the colours still punch through, while the soft light emphasises surface detail, brickwork and the hand-made character of the paint. The slogan is widely recognised as part of Liverpool FC supporter culture, but it also reads as a wider message of loyalty and solidarity, the sort of phrase that gets repurposed beyond football into everyday civic identity. This image works well for editorial use covering Liverpool, Merseyside and English football, fan culture, terrace anthems, local pride, community spirit, and the way street art and graffiti communicate belonging, optimism and defiance in the urban landscape

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 3DM97M2 - A wide, documentary view of Victoria House, a vandalised and vacant office building on Wellington Street in Stockport town centre, photographed in cold-season light. The blocky red-brick-and-panel façade is heavily marked by repeated graffiti, with the tag FEER visible across multiple window sections, giving a strong visual signal of long-term neglect and the kind of opportunistic vandalism that often follows prolonged vacancy. Many openings appear boarded or shuttered, and the overall impression is of a commercial building that has slipped from everyday use into a limbo state, neither active nor yet removed.
The lighting adds atmosphere and tension. Bright, low sunlight strikes the front elevation while a darker bank of cloud hangs overhead, creating sharp contrast between illuminated panels and deeper shadow. Trees with late-season foliage frame the edges of the scene, hinting at autumn or winter, and reinforcing the sense of a place caught between past and future. Roadway, verge and basic street furniture sit in the foreground, grounding the picture in an ordinary urban setting rather than an isolated industrial estate.
Editorially, the image is useful for stories about empty buildings, urban blight, community safety concerns, and the visible impacts of stalled investment. It also works for regeneration narratives, especially where a before image is needed to illustrate a site earmarked for demolition or redevelopment, and for wider discussions about town-centre change, the decline of older office stock, and the shift toward new housing-led schemes. The legible, repeated graffiti makes the photograph particularly strong for search and for conveying the reality of vacancy without needing people in frame.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 3DNNR0C - A bold UNDERBANK mural fills a long stretch of dark hoarding in Stockport town centre, using bright block lettering in turquoise, pink and white set against a starry, space-like background. The artwork reads like a statement of place, turning a plain frontage into an instantly recognisable marker for the Underbanks area, and doing the classic regeneration job of making a construction or vacant edge feel deliberate rather than neglected. Timber battens fixed across the hoarding hint at temporary protection and ongoing change behind the scenes, while the scuffed pavement, patched surfaces and weathered upper edge of the structure keep the image grounded in everyday town-centre reality.
Shot in natural daylight, the scene has the subdued feel you often get under grey skies in the North West, with soft, flat light that helps the saturated colours pop without harsh shadows. There are no crowds here, which makes the mural itself the subject and gives the frame a clean editorial usefulness: it can illustrate stories about Stockport's town-centre revival, heritage-led regeneration, the reinvention of older retail and back-street quarters, and the use of street art as a quick, high-impact way to signal confidence and local identity. Commercially, it works well for themes like placemaking, public realm improvement, cultural regeneration, local pride, and the way towns use design and visual language to rebrand streets that are transitioning from decline into new leisure, hospitality and creative uses.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2R64KCJ - This image shows graffiti featuring the phrase You'll Never Walk Alone, widely recognised as the anthem and slogan of Liverpool FC, painted on a brick wall in Merseyside. The bold lettering and Liverpool-red colour palette directly reference the club's visual identity and long-standing supporter culture.
You'll Never Walk Alone has become a powerful symbol of solidarity, loyalty, and collective identity among Liverpool supporters, extending far beyond the football stadium into everyday urban spaces. Graffiti such as this is a common expression of fandom across Merseyside, reinforcing the deep connection between club, city, and community.
The additional handwritten messages and memorial wording suggest a personal tribute layered onto the football slogan, illustrating how public street art is often used both for sporting allegiance and informal remembrance. This blending of football culture and local memory reflects the social role football plays within communities.
Photographed in daylight, the image documents contemporary British football culture as it appears in the urban environment rather than inside a stadium. It is well suited for editorial use covering football fandom, street art, supporter identity, Merseyside culture, and the wider social meaning of sport in everyday life.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2R27BYY - YOUNG people have joined forces with a local artist to transform an underpass in the centre of town.
An underpass between Warrington's bus interchange and the Youth Zone, has had a much-needed makeover thanks to the artist Tim Twist and the youngsters.
Tim helped mastermind the art project, alongside contributions from Warrington Youth Zone, and the youngsters who use the services there.
The mural is designed to reflect key aspects of the town
The mural includes a tribute to Viola Beach, with references to their single 'Swings and Waterslides.'
The artwork shows off the skyline of Warrington, with buildings and sites such as Warrington Wireworks, the Transporter Bridge and the Halliwell Jones Stadium, with a Wolf rising from the ground.
Central supporting columns of the underpass now reflect the cooling towers at Fiddlers Ferry, as well as the Neighbourhood Weekender festival, the Golden Gates and the iconic Pink Eye' building, which will be signed by Anthony Turk who created the original artwork on the building over 20 years ago.
Cllr Tom Jennings, cabinet member for economic development and innovation, said: The artwork has brought about a remarkable improvement to a well-used underpass. I thank Tim Twist and our young people for their talent and efforts over the past few weeks.
This project serves as a testament to the transformative power of art in enhancing our town centre and I'm sure it will instil a further sense of pride in our town's heritage and ownership of our continuing story to all that view it.
Tom Jowett, head of youth work at Warrington Youth Zone, said: Since identifying the site for the youth zone on Dallam Lane our young people identified, they would like to create some artwork on the underpass to make a more warm and welcoming approach to the youth zone and the town centre.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2PYBHA3 - A Prayer Room is an opportunity to draw aside, take time out and meet with God. It is a dedicated space where people can go to pray and seek God, to intercede and petition. Jesus withdrew to pray (Mt 14:13
Lk 5:12-16
Jn 6:14-16), not at the expense of serving the Father but in order to be more effective in that.
The key is not about the physical space but about making space for relationship with God who from the beginning of time longs to be with His people and connect with them. We know that God is everywhere and we can meet with God anywhere and everywhere, but a Prayer Room with time and place set aside can be an important part of growing in relationship with God. It's a great addition to be part of continual prayer in local church life and helpful being in a place with no distractions with focuses for prayer.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2RG1TXR - A church pebble pool plate displayed inside a church in the village of Heptonstall, Calderdale, West Yorkshire. The shallow bowl contains small stones arranged within a patterned base and is used as a focus for prayer, reflection, and symbolic participation in Christian worship.
Pebble pools are commonly found in churches as interactive devotional objects, inviting visitors and congregants to place stones in the bowl as acts of prayer, remembrance, or contemplation. The practice draws on biblical symbolism of stones as markers of faith, memory, and spiritual journey.
The pebble pool plate is shown set on a wooden table alongside traditional church furnishings, including a cross, candlesticks, and printed prayers, reinforcing the quiet, contemplative atmosphere of the interior space. The arrangement reflects the blending of historic liturgical tradition with more informal, participatory forms of worship found in many modern Anglican churches.
Photographed indoors under natural light, the image documents an everyday aspect of contemporary church life and provides an editorial illustration of Christian ritual, spiritual reflection, and the lived use of religious spaces in rural West Yorkshire.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2K1Y7RP - Vivienne Westwood 1941- Fashion Designer
Vivienne Westwood was born Vivienne Swire in the Peak District village of Tintwistle, Glossop, Derbyshire in 1941. Still a teenager, the family moved to Harrow, a suburb of northwest London, where her parents took over the running of a post office. At 21, she married Derek Westwood, a toolmaker, but the marriage did not last. After the break-up, Vivienne fled to her Aunt Ethel's caravan in North Wales, with her son Ben.
Her career in fashion did not take off until she met Malcolm McLaren, later known as the manager of punk band the Sex Pistols, who was studying alongside her brother at Harrow Technical College. Friendship came first, followed by love, and, in 1974, a second child, Joe, now the purveyor of saucy scanties, was born.
It was London which gave Vivienne the boost her creativity needed. After a stint selling her own jewellery in Portobello Market, she and Malcolm opened the infamous Sex boutique at the bottom end of the Kings Road where her provocative designs were sold. Then came punk. Vivienne's clothes were perfect for the youth trend: bondage trousers, slashed shirts and provocative God Save The Queen T-shirts. The monarch may not have loved it, but London was intoxicated.
After a couple more shops, Westwood moves to Italy in 1984 where a deal with Giorgio Armani announced. 1989 November: Westwood's name appears in a list of the world's top six designers in John Fairchild's book Chic Savages (1989), along with Armani, Lagerfield, Saint Laurent, Lacroix and Ungaro.
Between 1989-1991 she is appointed Professor of Fashion at Vienna Academy of Applied Arts and in 1990 the first complete menswear collection, Cut and Slash (S/S 1991) was shown in conjuntion with Pitti Uomo in Florence.
In 1992, she married Andreas Kronthaler, a fashion student a quarter of a century younger than her, whom she met when she was tutoring fashion at Vienna University of Applied Arts.
During the 1990's she opens shops in London

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2JJGAXP - Andrew James Weatherall (6 April 1963 17 February 2020) was an English musician, DJ, songwriter, producer and remixer. His career took him from being one of the key DJs in the acid house movement of the late 1980s to being a remixer of tracks by the likes of Happy Mondays, New Order, Björk, the Orb, the Future Sound of London and My Bloody Valentine.
His production work on Primal Scream's album Screamadelica, adding samples, loops and creating an influential mix of hard rock, house and rave, helped the record win the first ever Mercury Music Prize in 1992 and become one of the most celebrated albums of the 1990s

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2JC40Y9 - Everyman Media Group plc (known as Everyman Cinemas) is a cinema company based in London, England. The company was founded in 2000, when entrepreneur Daniel Broch bought the original Everyman Cinema in Hampstead, London, which dated to 1933, which before then was a theatre. Broch led the growth of the company with the acquisition in 2008 of Screen Cinemas to add more locations. This coincided with Broch selling a majority stake in the enlarged company, though he remains a shareholder. Following the acquisition, the group has refurbished or plans to refurbish a number of cinemas. Those already refurbished include Walton, Belsize Park, Baker Street, and The Screen On The Green in Islington. Everyman's cinemas have one to five screens, a small number of which offer 3D.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2MN7PCH - An 18m high mural adorns the gable end wall of the old magistrates' court which now forms part of the Pyramid arts centre at the corner of Museum Street and Winmarleigh Street.
'Reflection of Warrington' was created as part of a partnership between Wired Young Carers, Culture Warrington, Spearfish Arts and renowned illustrator Will Barras.
The project cost £6,000 and was funded by a local trust foundation.
Children, aged between eight and 15, were given a break from their responsibilities caring for loved ones to help work with Will on the design.
The idea was to find a new way for young people to engage with the town's history.
The group decided on a range of images including iconic structures such as the Golden Gates and the Barley Mow, famous faces like Jonathan Blackburne, the Lord of the Manor of Warrington famous for growing the north west's first pineapple at Orford Hall, and the Mad Hatter's tea party scene from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
Scenes illustrating the town's industrial heritage are also featured alongside a depiction of the ill-fated RMS Tayleur which was built in Warrington.
Will and the team spent 46 hours on the street art design over six days using 25 litres of emulsion and 100 spray cans.
The project has been around a year in the making with a workshop in February to gather ideas on how the mural should look.
Planning permission to paint the wall was approved at the end of September when Historic England raised no objections.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2AERPFP - Tawny Gray
Toin Adams, born in Kitwe, Zambia, is a sculptor working in steel, acrylic, fibreglass and other media. She spent her early childhood in eastern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), and late teen years, in South Africa, where she attended the National School of the Arts, Johannesburg. In the late 80's she moved to England, where she began her career in sculpting.
Her two most well known works to date are Birmingham's largest sculpture: the 12 m high, The Green Man 2002 and the 10m high hanging sculpture The Deluge 2010 at Zellig, a 10 metres (33 ft) high hanging sculpture of falling bodies, both commissioned by the Custard Factory in Digbeth, Birmingham. I like making large scale sculpture, playing with diverse materials and figuring out how to make them...not fall over...
Adams is part of The Imaginary Beings Art Collective, a group of artists that work together to create collaborative art projects. Through this collective she has put together several art events around the world including The End of a World and Transcendence and Transformation

And the prized possession, the temple houses what is believed to be Buddha's actual tooth which was found in 1980 from the wreckage of a collapsed stupa in Myanmar in 1980.
The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple has since become one of Singapore's most popular spiritual hubs for Buddhists due to housing Buddha's left canine tooth. It now attracts over 3.6 million visitors from all religions annually looking to learn more about the history, art and culture of Buddhism.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy RFF638 - Here's a little insight into the world of D7606
Picking spots is not always easy, a lot of areas like the east end of London are quite saturated with street art, finding a spot without going over other peoples work and tags is always a priority. Being respectful to others work is very important to me. So I like to find new spots and go into areas where no one has been before, I did a series of Bollywood actors and found myself in a busy Southall one night, that was fun. I have been into the urbex spots around Sheffield where the spray can and letters are king, so adding brightly coloured paste ups to those grimy walls is a risk and one I'm glad I have taken, some will approve and others will not but that's the joy of trying new places.
Mostly I am a lover of other peoples work and my photography of that work is how I find different neighbourhoods. Most areas are well know so often I just wander around taking photos, this then gives me that opportunity to do my own work too. I guess my favourite areas right now are Sheffield in the UK and Kreuzberg in Berlin, the back streets are full of grimy walls and doors, a perfect place for paste ups, stickers and tags..
I love those iconic British symbols, ask an American to name an iconic British symbol and a lot will say our red phone box or post box. They featured in my first work and still do in a big way.
Oh yes, I love to take those iconic British symbols abroad, I have travelled a fair bit in the last year- France, Germany and the USA. Hard to say a favourite place really, all have great art and great spots. Overall New York was the most impressive but maybe that was a size thing? It is massive, so much to see and so much good original work around.
Have you ever got in trouble with the police or other people for putting up your work?
Ha oh no, everything I do is within the law !!! I am sure I have annoyed people with my work, some artists are honest enough to say stop !! That's too much !! or that latest work

Its first atlas, of London, was originally compiled in the 1930s by Phyllis Pearsall. The company she founded now publishes street maps of many cities and towns in the UK.
Until relatively recently, maps produced by the Geographers' (AZ) Map Company did not include a publication date. Some clues to dating include:
their first map was published in 1936
the only maps produced by them during WW2 (19391945) were war maps of Europe
until 1962, the Published By address was 24 Grays Inn Road, Holborn, London
from 1962 to 1992, the Published By address was Sevenoaks, Kent
from 1992 onwards, the Published By address is Borough Green, Kent
in 1972, the company name was changed from Geographers' Map Company to Geographers' AZ Map Company.
About Motley creator:
Hailing from and currently residing in Manchester. I'm incredibly passionate about my city. The hope is that I can do my part to make it an interesting place to live.
Besides being best known for my street art, I enjoy working with the best possible medium to execute an idea. In true Motley fashion. Meaning mismatched and irregular. My work is less rooted in a common visual style and more based on the independent reaction to what inspired me in the first place.
I take inspiration from many sources. Elements of public space such as advertisements and signage are of particular interest. Given that street art is technically illegal, I'm fascinated by the visual elements of the street that are permitted.
My dream job would either be mayor of Manchester or Ikea bookshelf instructions designer.

to Lafayette Street, ending at Alamo plaza. Astor Place is also sometimes used for the neighborhood around the street. It encompasses two plazas at the intersection with Cooper Square, Lafayette Street, Fourth Avenue, and Eighth Street Alamo Plaza and Astor Place Station Plaza. It was named for John Jacob Astor (at one time the richest person in the United States), soon after his death in 1848. A $21 million reconstruction to implement a redesign of Astor Place began in 2013

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy HEJ65M - Plan dropped to end cone tradition on Glasgow's Wellington statue
Plans to end a long-standing tradition of placing a traffic cone on Glasgow's iconic Duke of Wellington statue have been dropped after a massive backlash.
Glasgow City Council wanted to raise the plinth as part of a £65,000 project to refurbish the monument, which stands outside the Gallery of Modern Art.
It abandoned the plan after a massive social media campaign saw thousands of people sign a petition opposing it.
Campaigners who planned a demonstration now say they will hold a victory rally.
The council had said that raising the height would end a practice which projected a depressing image of Glasgow and would save the £10,000 cost of removing the cone 100 times a year.
Image caption Michael Gray is one of many campaigners who plan to hold a victory rally
The scheme would have seen a new granite-clad concrete base of 86cm (34in) added to the memorial to raise its overall height.
However, the council has reconsidered its decision after an online petition called Save Wellington's Cone, which gathered thousands of signatories in just a few hours, and a Facebook campaign which had planned a rally in support of the cone.
A council spokesman said: The wording of the report was appalling and the leader of the council (Gordon Matheson) has instructed officers to withdraw the planning application.
The petition stated: The cone on Wellington's head is an iconic part of Glasgow's heritage, and means far more to the people of Glasgow and to visitors than Wellington himself ever has.
Raising the statue will, in any case, only result in people injuring themselves attempting to put the cone on anyway: does anyone really think that a raised plinth will deter drunk Glaswegians?
So cone-troversial plans to cone-sider cone-structing a

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy ED4M2N - Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based street artist, political activist and film director whose real name and identity remain unconfirmed and the subject of speculation. Active since the 1990s, his satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique. His works of political and social commentary have appeared on streets, walls and bridges throughout the world. Banksy's work grew out of the Bristol underground scene, which involved collaborations between artists and musicians. Banksy says that he was inspired by 3D, a graffiti artist and founding member of the musical group Massive Attack.
Banksy displays his art on publicly visible surfaces such as walls and self-built physical prop pieces. Banksy no longer sells photographs or reproductions of his street graffiti, but his public installations are regularly resold, often even by removing the wall they were painted on. Much of his work can be classified as temporary art. A small number of Banksy's works are officially, non-publicly, sold through an agency created by Banksy named Pest Control. Banksy's documentary film Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010) made its debut at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. In January 2011, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for the film. In 2014, he was awarded Person of the Year at the 2014 Webby Awards.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy D8HF2D - Pulmicort Asthma Inhaler with box with braille markings, held by a user of this medication.
What Is Pulmicort?
Pulmicort is an inhaled steroid used to control asthma symptoms. Pulmicort, along with other inhaled steroids like Flovent, is considered first-line treatment when you need more than occasional use of a rescue inhaler for your asthma. Pulmicort can be prescribed by itself or combined with a long-acting beta agonist to prevent asthma symptoms such as:
Wheezing
Chest tightness
Shortness of breath
Chronic cough
How Does Pulmicort Work?
Pulmicort reduces inflammation in the lungs and decreases airway hyper-responsiveness. By acting directly in the lungs, your airways are also less likely to respond to an asthma trigger.
Additionally, Pulmicort's benefits result from its action on a number of different cell types involved in the pathophysiology of asthma:
Basophils
Eosinophils
Lymphocytes
Macrophages
Mast Cells
Neutrophils
The decreased inflammation, mucus production, and hyperreponsiveness leads to a decrease in your asthma symptoms. Unlike your rescue inhaler, Pulmicort controls chronic asthma symptoms and should be taken daily in order to be effective.
How Is Pulmicort Prescribed?
Pulmicort is prescribed in 2 different forms. Pulmicort Respules are an inhalation suspension delivered via a special nebulizer and are available in several different strengths. Pulmicort is also available via a dry inhaled powder that is similar to a metered dose inhaler. Generally, you will take Pulmicort daily no matter how well your asthma symptoms are controlled. If your asthma control is excellent, talk with your doctor about considering a decrease in your medication.
The active component in Pulmicort, budesonide, is also in Symbicort, combination asthma inhaler, and in Rhinocort, a nasal spray for allergies. .

A cracking track from 1988's 'That Petrol Emotion'. They formed in 1984 from the ashes of the Derry Hitmakers, Bam Bam and the Calling and The Undertones. It was formed by guitarist John O'Neill and second guitarist Raymond Gorman who DJ'd together at the Derry 'Left Bank' club. Drummer and friend Ciaran McLaughlin joined next after having relocated from Derry to London, followed by John's brother and Undertones lead guitarist Damian O'Neill who played bass from 1985 until 1988 upon John's departure.
That Petrol Emotion themselves were also far more political and outspoken than the Undertones. 'Abandon' released on Virgin Records in March 1990 in the UK reached no. 73 in the single charts.

Description: Tony Smith image Flickr 4877238738 - 'Endless Art - 'A House' - Play this track here.
\u00bfWhats this iPod Shuffle set all about? Read about it here
'A House' were a very witty Irish band from the 1980s to the 1990s, recognized for the clever, 'often bitter or irony laden lyrics of frontman Dave Couse. This single, 'Endless Art' is one of their best known charting successes. It was produced by Edwyn Collins.
The song lyrics begin with the line 'All art is quite useless according to Oscar Wilde' and for their remainder are mostly a list of the names and birth and death dates of artists from various fields, with the chorus remark: 'all dead but still alive, in endless time and endless art'. This 'list' style of song is characteristic of many of Dave Couse's songs. Melodically, the song features a quotation from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony at the chorus.
For the first appearance of the song on Bingo, the band received some criticism for the fact that the artists listed in the song are all male, so they recorded a second version where all the artists are female. This is the version called 'More Endless Art'. In 'More Endless Art', the melodic quoatation from Beethoven is substituted with one from Carl Orff, who, it might be quibbled, is not a woman, while the substitution of 'Walt Disney's Minnie Mouse' for his Mickey Mouse may not quite right the gender balance either. Still, 'More Endless Art' was better than a defence Dave Couse had offered in interviews, that the band had thought that Joan Mir\u00f3 was a woman.
Dave Couse has subsequently performed a live version of 'Endless Art' with a new list of artists, those deceased since the original release of the song. This is available as 'Endless Art 06' on the B-Side of his single 'A Celebration' (2006).

Description: Tony Smith image Flickr 4738089885 - 'Far from a modern stream of art or general annoyance, graffiti has existed since ancient times, with examples dating back to Ancient Greece and the Roman Empire. Graffiti and graffito are from the Italian word graffiato ('scratched').
The first known example of 'modern style' graffiti survives in the ancient Greek city of Ephesus (in modern-day Turkey). Local guides say it is an advertisement for prostitution. Located near a mosaic and stone walkway, the graffiti shows a handprint that vaguely resembles a heart, along with a footprint and a number. This is believed to indicate that a brothel was nearby, with the handprint symbolizing payment.
In modern times, spray paint, normal paint and markers have become the most commonly used materials. In most countries, defacing property with graffiti without the property owner's consent is considered vandalism, which is punishable by law. Sometimes graffiti is employed to communicate social and political messages or just to be comic or witty.
To some, it is an art form worthy of display in galleries and exhibitions
to others it is merely vandalism. Graffiti has since evolved into a pop culture existence often related to underground hip hop music and b-boying creating a lifestyle that remains hidden from the general public.
Banksy is one of the world's most notorious and popular street artist who continues to remain faceless in today's society. He is known for his political, anti-war stencil art mainly in Bristol, England but his work can be seen anywhere from Los Angeles to Palestine. In the UK, Banksy is the most recognizable icon for this cultural artistic movement and keeps his identity a secret to avoid arrest.
Much of Banksy's artwork can be seen around the streets of London and surrounding suburbs, though he has painted pictures around the world, including the Middle East, where he has painted on Israel's controversial West Bank barrier with satirical images of life on the other side. One depicted a hole in the wall with an idyllic beach, while another shows a mountain landscape on the other side. A number of exhibitions have also taken place since 2000, and recent works of art have fetched vast sums of money.
Banksy's art is a prime example of the classic controversy: vandalism vs. art. Art supporters endorse his work distributed in urban areas as pieces of art while city officials and law enforcement have deemed all work by Banksy to be vandalism and property destruction. Many members of Bristol's communities feel that Banksy's graffiti reduces property value and encourages rogue behavior.
Before anyone comments, this one is not likely to be a 'Banksy'. If it were I may have taken it into pieces and loaded it into the boot of my car for my retirement fund 8-)

When you cast your eyes upon the skylines
Of this once proud nation
Can you sense the fear and the hatred
Grwoing in the hearts of its population
And our youth, oh youth, are being seduced
by the greedy hands of politics and half truths
The beaten generation, the beaten generation
Reared on a diet of prejudice and mis-information
The beaten generation, the beaten generation
Open your eyes, open your imagination
We're being sedated by the gasoline fumes
and hypnotised by the satellites
Into believing what is good and what is right
You may be worshipping the temples of mammon
Or lost in the prisons of religion
But can you still walk back to happiness
When you've nowhere left to run?
And if they send in the special police
To deliver us from liberty and keep us from peace
Then won't the words sit ill upon their tongues
when they tell us justice is being done
and that freedom lives in the barrels of a .....warm gun
Lyrics somewhat still true over 20 years after they were penned.

Its the racyiest graffitti stencil I have seen around Lymm, Cheshire UK to date.
Of course Queen Victoria visited the opening of the Manchester ship canal in May 1894. It may be likely that she visited Lymm around that time.
It does not look like the Mayor of Salford on the lower section of this stencil here however.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy CEMXA7 - Interior view of St Marys Church Linton, Forest of Dean Micheldean, Gloucester, Glos, England, UK. Shows sandstone stonework.
Linton is a small village in Herefordshire, England, around 5 kilometres (3 mi) east of Ross-on-Wye.
It has a church called St. Mary's, which dates from the 13th century. The spire can be seen when travelling eastwards on the M50 motorway when 2 miles east of junction 4. There is also a village hall, and a post office which opens a few hours each week.
Several activities take place in the village hall: brownies, pilates etc.
Each year, the only pub in the village hosts a charitable event
The festival is organised by a committee responsible for the creation of funds for an increasing number of local charities and good causes. The Landlords of The Alma Inn run the beer tents, providing a range of local and more exotic ales each year. The Alma provides a natural amphitheatre that is the garden to the rear of the pub which is an intimate environment for the notable Blues acts the committee books each year.
