To celebrate his stunning achievements, a mural has been unveiled at Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix.
Sky Sports F1 - the home of live and exclusive F1 - hired artist James Cochran , who also created the famous David Bowie mural in Brixton - to design the piece to celebrate Hamilton's latest title crown.
The impressive-looking painting displays Hamilton in his Mercedes gear, with the Union Jack acting as a stunning backdrop.
The mural has been emblazoned on a section of a wall at the world famous Silverstone circuit, a track which has seen Sir Lewis Hamilton triumph a record six times.

The original buildings that formed the department store were destroyed by fire in 1892, and in 1893 the Scottish architect William Hamilton Beattie was appointed to design the new store which subsequently opened in 1895.[2] This new building is designated as a category A listed building,[3] and it is noted by the statutory listing that, at Charles Jenner's insistence, the building's caryatids were intended 'to show symbolically that women are the support of the house'. The new store included many technical innovations such as electric lighting and hydraulic lifts.
Known as the Harrods of the North, it has held a Royal Warrant since 1911, and was visited by Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of its 150th anniversary in 1988.
In 2004 it changed its vision statement from its goal to be the most exciting department store outside of London to Confidently Independent. The store made national news in 2007 when it publicised that it would stop selling pate de foie gras, following a boycott by the Duke and Duchess of Hamilton

Originally built on an island in Clickimin Loch, it was approached by a stone causeway. The broch is situated within a walled enclosure and, unusually for brochs, features a large forework or blockhouse between the opening in the enclosure and the broch itself. The site is maintained by Historic Scotland. According to its excavator, John R.C. Hamilton, there were several periods of occupation of the site: Late Bronze Age farmstead, Early Iron Age farmstead, Iron Age fort, broch period, and wheelhouse settlement.
Location
Clickimin Broch is situated on the south shore of the Clickimin Loch, three-quarters of a mile south-west of Lerwick on the Lerwick-Sumburgh road. It sits on a small promontory jutting into the loch. It is one of the best preserved broch sites in Shetland.
The broch has an external diameter of around 20 metres and an internal diameter of around 9 metres. It is surrounded by a stone-walled fort consisting of a blockhouse and ringwork. The blockhouse is a free-standing drystone gateway set just within the entrance to the fort. Access to the broch is achieved via the entrance on the western side. The entrance passage may have had a guard cell, now blocked up, on the right side, just inside the door jamb. The interior of the broch has two cells within the walls at ground-level. Excavations have revealed the postholes for internal timber buildings and in the 19th century there were said to have been radiating stone piers visible. There are two additional entrances to the broch at upper levels. The north entrance leads both into the interior and to a staircase. The other entrance leads to an intramural gallery

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy 2R59X9E - The Broch of Clickimin (also Clickimin or Clickhimin Broch) is a large, well-preserved but restored broch in Lerwick in Shetland, Scotland (grid reference HU46434082). Originally built on an island in Clickimin Loch, it was approached by a stone causeway. The broch is situated within a walled enclosure and, unusually for brochs, features a large forework or blockhouse between the opening in the enclosure and the broch itself. The site is maintained by Historic Scotland. According to its excavator, John R.C. Hamilton, there were several periods of occupation of the site: Late Bronze Age farmstead, Early Iron Age farmstead, Iron Age fort, broch period, and wheelhouse settlement.
Location
Clickimin Broch is situated on the south shore of the Clickimin Loch, three-quarters of a mile south-west of Lerwick on the Lerwick-Sumburgh road. It sits on a small promontory jutting into the loch. It is one of the best preserved broch sites in Shetland.
The broch has an external diameter of around 20 metres and an internal diameter of around 9 metres. It is surrounded by a stone-walled fort consisting of a blockhouse and ringwork. The blockhouse is a free-standing drystone gateway set just within the entrance to the fort. Access to the broch is achieved via the entrance on the western side. The entrance passage may have had a guard cell, now blocked up, on the right side, just inside the door jamb. The interior of the broch has two cells within the walls at ground-level. Excavations have revealed the postholes for internal timber buildings and in the 19th century there were said to have been radiating stone piers visible. There are two additional entrances to the broch at upper levels. The north entrance leads both into the interior and to a staircase. The other entrance leads to an intramural gallery

I had to reverse and double-check I hadn't accidently driven through a wrinkle in time. Maybe these were the 'Real Conservatives' or the 'Continuity Tories', I had to check. Even the logo is the traditional one , maybe NH is back and making a comeback?

as the parliamentary record shows, Hamilton while in Tory office had limited regard for the 'little people'. Edwina Currie, the former health minister, described how Hamilton had been unmoved, in May 1988, by a set of photographs showing cancers that could be caused to young people by a product he was promoting. Hamilton apparently said that they were not relevant. In the end, the Thatcher government banned the sale of Skoal bandit products in the UK in late 1989. Both Hamilton and Michael Brown received a \u00a36,000 fee and hospitality from Skoal bandits. The seeds of downfall were maybe set.
On 20th October 1994, The Guardian newspaper published an article claiming that Hamilton, and another minister, Tim Smith, had received money, paid in the form of cash in brown envelopes, from Harrods' owner Mohamed Al-Fayed. They had asked questions on Mo's behalf in the House of Commons. The subsequent furore became known as the 'Cash-for-questions affair'. Hamilton resigned his position as Corporate Affairs Minister five days later.
Discredited, during the 1997 General Election, Hamilton was determined to hold on to his parliamentary seat in what was then the fourth safest Conservative seat in the country. It still is one of teh safest seats in the UK for the Tory's due to relative affluence of the area. Hamilton's majority at the 1992 General Election was almost 16,000. Conservative Central Office said that selection of candidates was purely a matter for the local party and refused to intervene. On 8 April 1997, he won a candidacy selection vote by 182 to 35, although 100 members of the local party abstained. Hamilton said that if the Downey (Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards) report found against him, he would resign as an MP. Unfortunately, the man in the white suit, the BBCs Martin Bell decided to stand as an independent candidate in Tatton. With other parties standing down, Bell triumphed by over 11,000 votes. Hamilton vowed to return, but up to now has failed to. This might be his re-emergence.
Neil and Christine Hamilton are said to have sold their house in Tatton in September 2003 after 20 years of living there. They bought a house in Hullavington, Wiltshire, in October 2004.
Ironically his failings were a drop in the ocean of recent parliamentary expenses scandles. Duck houses, flipping second homes, the John Lewis list etc. Even his successor, shadow chancellor George Osbourne has not been immune.
