House or inn, now two shops and two flats. Dated 1663, altered C19 and C20. Bargate rubblestone with red-brick dressings. Plain tile roof. Two storeys with attic
four bays. Two C20 shop fronts, not of special interest, and panelled door on left (to No 76A). Ground and first floors each have moulded brick cornice, with tile weathering, above a band of raised, brick, ovals and lozenges, first floor cornice rising at centre into segmental pediment (broken by rainwater pipe).
Windows have flat brick arches and are of three lights to first floor, two lights to attic, all with mid-C19 decorative square- and polygonal-paned glazing. First floor has strapwork panels between windows, pendant finials to ends, and more elaborate central panel with oval datestone. Attic originally had four gables, with strapwork, these joined up in C19 to form coped parapet ramping down at each end
three old rainwater heads. Very large multiple-flue, central ridge stack.
Rear: ground-floor, masked by late C19 addition (which is not of special interest), has round arched door on right (to No 76A). First floor has strapwork decoration

In 1995, The Big Issue Foundation was founded to offer additional support and advice to vendors around issues such as housing, health, personal finance and addiction.
In 2001, the magazine sold nearly 300,000 copies per week. Between 2007 and 2011, the circulation of The Big Issue declined from 167,000 to less than 125,000. Competition between vendors also increased at this time. In January 2012, the magazine was relaunched, with an increased focus on campaigning and political journalism. New columnists were added, including the Premier League footballer Joey Barton, Rachel Johnson, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park and Samira Ahmed. The cover price was increased.
In 2016, The Big Issue celebrated surpassing 200 million magazine sales.
To become a vendor, one must be homeless or almost homeless, vulnerably housed or marginalised in some way. The Big Issue recognises, however, that for many people, being housed is only the first stage in getting off the streets
therefore, The Big Issue Foundation exists to support vendors in gaining control of their lives by tackling the various issues which lead to homelessness.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (The Fringe) is the world's largest arts festival, with the 2012 event spanning 25 days totalling over 2,695 shows from 47 countries in 279 venues. Established in 1947 as an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival, it takes place annually in Scotland's capital, in the month of August. The Fringe is a showcase for the performing arts, particularly theatre and comedy (which has seen substantial growth in recent years), although dance and music are also represented. In 2012, 36% of shows were comedy and 28% theatrical productions. Theatrical productions range from the classics of ancient Greece to William Shakespeare, Samuel Beckett and contemporary works. In 2012, 1,418 shows were having their world premiere.
The Fringe is an unjuried festival \u2013 with no selection committee, and therefore any type of performance may participate. The Fringe has often showcased experimental works that might not be invited to a more conservative arts festival. In addition to ticketed, programmed events, the Festival has included a street fair, located primarily on the Royal Mile. Sad to hear the death of Amy Jade Winehouse only 27 this last Saturday 23 July 2011, at her home in London.
Police have said that the cause of her death is 'as yet unexplained'. Her family and friends attended her funeral on 26 July 2011 followed by cremation at Golders Green Crematorium.
Amy Winehouse was an English singer-songwriter known for her powerful deep contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres including R&
B, soul and jazz.
Winehouse's 2003 debut album, Frank, was critically successful in the UK and was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her 2006 follow-up album, Back to Black, led to six Grammy Award nominations and five wins, tying the then record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night, and made Winehouse the first British female to win five Grammys, including three of the 'Big Four': Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist
she had also been nominated for Best British Album.
She won the Ivor Novello Award three times, one in 2004 for Best Contemporary Song (musically and lyrically) for 'Stronger Than Me', one in 2007 for Best Contemporary Song for 'Rehab', and one in 2008 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for 'Love Is a Losing Game', among other distinctions. The album was the third biggest seller of the 2000s in the United Kingdom.
Winehouse dated chef-musician Alex Clare (sometimes referred to as Alex Claire) in 2006, while on the outs with her on-off boyfriend and future husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. Clare famously sold his story to the News of the World, which published it under the headline \u201cBondage Crazed Amy Just Can\u2019t Beehive in Bed'.
Winehouse's parents and in-laws publicly reported their numerous concerns, citing fears that the two might commit suicide, with Fielder-Civil's father encouraging fans to boycott her music. Fielder-Civil was quoted in a British tabloid as saying he introduced her to crack cocaine and heroin.
During a visit with Mitch Winehouse at the prison in July 2008, Fielder-Civil reportedly said that they would cut themselves to ease the pain of withdrawal.
After an extended stay in Saint Lucia it appeared to show that Winehouse had gained weight and that her complexion was improved. In an October 2010 interview, Winehouse said she had been drug-free for three years, saying 'I literally woke up one day and was like, 'I don\u2019t want to do this anymore.'\u201d
It did not last, recently Winehouse entered the Priory Clinic on 25 May 2011, where she stayed for one week.
