Prime minister Rishi Sunak has promised the UK Government will make sure that we're doing everything we can do to tackle ticket touts after Eurovision tickets appeared on re-sale sites for as much as £9,000.
Labour MP Kevin Brennan raised the issue in Prime Minister's Questions today, 8 March. He said a report by BBC Radio 4's You and Yours had exposed queue jumping online touts that had purchased Eurovision tickets and put them on sale for thousands of pounds on dodgy sites like Viagogo.
In this year when we are hosting Eurovision on behalf of war ravaged Ukraine, this latest example of rampant rip-off culture in Tory Britain is particularly despicable. Why isn't his government doing more to support genuine fans over the spivs and ticket touts? asked Brennan.
In response Sunak said, I'm happy to look at the documentary and make sure that we're doing everything we can do, and I'll talk to the Home Secretary about it. But more generally, it is a source of enormous pride for us to host Eurovision. I know it's something that everyone is looking forward to and we should ensure that there is a broad as possible access to seeing that. And we'll do everything we can to make sure that that happens.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is to be staged in Liverpool at the city's 11,000-capacity M&S Bank Arena on 9-13 May.

Bacharach is divided into several Ortsteile. The outlying centre of Steeg lies in the Steeg Valley (Steeger Tal) off to the side, away from the Rhine. This glen lies between Medenscheid and Neurath to the south and Henschhausen to the north on the heights.
History
In the early 11th century, Bacharach had its first documentary mention. It may have been that as early as the 7th century, the kingly domain passed into Archbishop of Cologne Kunibert's ownership
pointing to this is a Kunibertskapelle (chapel) on the spot where now stands the Wernerkapelle. The Vögte of the Cologne estate were the Elector of the Palatinate, who over time pushed back Cologne's influence.
Caring for and maintaining Bacharach's building monuments, spurred on in the early 20th century by the Rhenish Association for Monument Care and Landscape Preservation (Rheinischer Verein für Denkmalpflege und Landschaftsschutz) which took on the then highly endangered town wall and Stahleck Castle ruin jobs, and the great dedication of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate to the Wernerkapelle have seen to it that Bacharach is still a jewel of the Rheinromantik and a multifaceted documentary site of mediaeval architecture on the Middle Rhine. The Wernerkapelle ruin is under monumental protection and before it a plaque has been placed recalling the inhuman crimes against Jewish residents and also containing a quotation from a prayer by Pope John XXIII for a change in Christians' thinking in their relationship

Mr Creed says: To be successful, you have got to have infrastructure, hard car parking, booking systems, strong social media campaigns and good road access.
A potentially less risky option is to grow for an existing business, which may have already invested in the infrastructure to cater for the public.
Some farm shops and garden centres have very good infrastructures to accommodate the public, but they haven't got much ground. So they may be able to grow some and then stock up from a local grower, which can be a win-win situation for everybody,

Stiff Records is a British independent record label formed in London, England, by Dave Robinson and Andrew Jakeman (aka Jake Riviera). Originally active from 1976 to 1985, the label was reactivated in 2007.
Established at the outset of the punk rock boom, Stiff Records signed various punk and New Wave acts such as Nick Lowe, The Damned, Lene Lovich, Wreckless Eric, Plummet Airlines, Elvis Costello, and Ian Dury. The label's marketing and advertising was often provocative and witty billing itself as 'The World's Most Flexible Record Label'. Other slogans were 'We came. We saw. We left', 'If It Ain't Stiff, It Ain't Worth a F**k', and 'When You Kill Time, You Murder Success' (printed on promotional wall clocks).
On the label of Stiff's sampler compilation Heroes &
Cowards was printed: 'In '78 everyone born in '45 will be 33-1/3'. A very early Stiff sampler album, A Bunch of Stiff Records, introduced the slogan, 'If they're dead, we'll sign them' and 'Undertakers to the Industry'.
This is the first vingle single released on the label (Buy-1) So It Goes, by Nick Lowe. Here in its original Stiff sleeve.

Consisting of an 11-storey office tower, and an In-Shops indoor market on the ground and first floors. Full of tacky clothes shops, greasy spoon cafes, amusement arcades and stalls where you can get a new drive belt for your vacuum cleaner. You get the picture.
Amazingly it is part of a grand scheme to gut the building completely, extend the office tower to a whopping 32-storeys, add a smaller 16-storey one for good measure and repackage it as a state of the art multi-use complex. This was all reported in the Evening Times in 2009, but sadly you can still buy a processed burger in the Savoy Centre.

In the early 1900s, Murdo MacLeod left the village of Keose on the Isle of Lewis bound for South America to work on a Patagonian sheep farm. An expert judge and buyer of livestock, Murdo's employer, Jose Menendez, held him in high esteem. So much so, that on his return to the Isle of Lewis, Murdo was asked to include Menendez in the name of his first-born child. On setting up home in Ropework Cottage, Stornoway, Murdo and wife, Christina thus became parents to Charles Menendez MacLeod.
The tradition continues today.

Description: Tony Smith image Alamy CEY9JR - The Philharmonic Dining Rooms is the name of a public house at the corner of Hope Street and Hardman Street in Liverpool, Merseyside, England, and stands diagonally opposite the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. It is commonly known as The Phil. The public house has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building.
The interior is decorated in musical themes that relate to the nearby concert hall. These decorations are executed on repoussé copper panels designed by Bare and by Thomas Huson, plasterwork by C. J. Allen, mosaics, and items in mahogany and glass. Two of the smaller rooms are entitled Brahms and Liszt.
